We Are PREGNANT!

Really early in June of 2011, Matthew and I found out we were EXPECTING! We were both so excited and overwhelmed. It was an amazing, scary, and emotional time. It happened to be right around Fathers Day, and Matthew's and Bailey's birthday. We decided we had special ways we wanted to tell each family member. I gave Matthew a Fathers day card along with the book "My Boys Can Swim". On Matthew's Birthday, June 17th, his mom took us out to dinner with Mama (Matt's Grandmother) and we gave her a gift! :) They brought out the "birthday brownie" and gave it to her instead of Matthew. I had made a sign that was stuck in it that said "Congrats Grandma!" She was sooo shocked and excited! For each of my parents, we gave them a frame with a special picture in it. The picture was of the positive pregnancy test that said "E.T.A. February 2012" We gave my dads his on father's day and my grandparents got to be here for it. It was so special to be able to give my dad this AWESOME gift. With my mom, I told her I just had a gift that I wanted to give her, just because. Her reaction was tears of joy. For my sister, she had just had her baby Olivia, and I am ALWAYS buying Olivia little gifts so we gave her a gift that was a picture frame that said "Cousins" and I printed off a little note that said, "Can be filled in February 2012!" Allison was SO shocked, it took her a good minute to even realize what it meant! Last, we waited to tell Bailey until her Birthday on the 19th. We found a picture of her from when she was little with a baby doll and had it put on a cake with and had Ed's write, Happy Birthday AUNT Bailey. After she realized what the cake said and what it meant, all she could do was cry. :) It was SO much fun telling all our family in these unique special ways. I wouldn't change any of it. 

This is the picture we put in the picture frames for our parents! They were SO shocked. It was a lot of fun.. :)

Here is Baileys birthday cake! What a fun way to tell all of Matthew's family! All of his aunt's, uncle's and cousins came to celebrate Bay's birthday so they all got to find out this way too!


I will have to find all the other pictures from when we told people and their reactions... I misplaced them for the time being.... :(
