Our Life Lately

Ok.. So I will update ya'll on Jett!! Woo! A week ago Monday little man just wasn't seeming right. He was sleeping all the time (more than normal). He would sleep for 5 almost 6 hours at a time (every mom's dream) and would wake up and eat and then fall right back asleep. Even though the sleep was nice, I knew this wasn't normal. He sleeps a whole lot but this was just weird and he kind of had a cough going on. So we went to see Mrs. Karen and Jetton was diagnosed with his first ear infection. :( It was sad.. And she said he has reflux.. This really broke my heart. The cough is from the reflux but she said the good news is that he should out grow it by 6 months!! He is on his first antibiotic. Amoxicillin, it's pink and supposedly taste like bubble gum. I don't really get why they flavored it, its not like he knows what bubble gum taste like, but whatever. He hates it. So the flavor didn't even help... Even though he wasn't feeling great he was still SO smiley! He seriously is the sweetest baby ever. We went and had a birthday dinner with Aunt Angie at bone fish grill (YUM) Then Alicia, Patrick, Liam and Laken drove through and we met them for lunch at Stobys. This was the first time they got to see Jett! It was so special- We also went and did a dinner get together at Spencer and Xochilts! It was so fun! In other news... Cousin Olivia started WALKING! This is so cool and fun and unreal. She is getting SO BIG! Nothing else really big happened. Yesterday Nanny and Charlie came into town and got to visit with little man. We love seeing people!! It makes our days fun and interesting! Oh.. some other big news.. Jett is officially out growing his 0-3 month clothes!! :O This makes me happy and sad all at the same time!

This is a new thing! His head control has gotten a lot better and he can now sit up in his Bumbo seat for a little while at a time!

So.. We are getting him ready for summer and found this life vest for him so he can go out on the boats.. Haha he HATES it.. Look at that face!

Millies Birthday

So today is Millie's 5th Birthday. I know everyone who keeps up with the blog does it to see pictures of Jetton, but today I have to do a post about my "first baby". Matthew and I started dating on May 5th, 2007 and SOMEHOW I convinced him that we "needed" a puppy together. :) I'm pretty good at convincing him of things so this really wasn't that hard. It was the beginning of June on a Friday and we started looking  and happened to find a lady who would meet us in Searcy with her last female golden retriever puppy. I was SO excited.. I have to add that we started looking and bought a dog in the same day. It's not like it was a long drawn thought out process. We went to meet her to see if we would click. My mom  went with us and we meet her in the Wal-Mart paring lot. Yes.. we broke ALL of the rules people tell you to follow when buying a dog. We didn't meet the parent dogs, we didn't see the whole liter, we didn't go to the place where she lived. We just met her in the wal-mart parking lot. One dog, one lady. Millie immediately took off running and I chased after her, when I picked her up she PEED ALL OVER ME. Matthew says this is when he knew she was ours. We didn't tell Diana, or my dad or anyone really. We just bought her and decided hey! we have a dog! We named her Millie after a character in one of the first movies we ever watched together. From that day on she was our baby. She got really sick and almost died right after we got her and she has horrible allergies and has to be on a special food. She has super weird quirks. She's very vocal..and you could stuff a teddy bear daily with the hair she sheds, but she is our baby. We wouldn't change anything about her..

Our week in Review!

On Monday little man had his 2 month check up... Which means shots!! Ugh. I think it hurts me more than it hurts him! He was so peaceful and sleeping before the appointment. I felt awful for taking him. He had no clue what was coming- he did good at first. He weighs 12.05 lbs! He is 23 inches long. He is 41% in length 38% in weight and 73% in head circumference! :O haha but he started to get hungry and then they gave him his shots and it was downhill from there. They were nice enough to let me nurse him after the shots to calm him down. (they didn't run us out of our room) after that he fell asleep and slept SO much. His little legs were sore and he would cry out some but by the time bedtime rolled around (midnight) he was good! :) he is SUCH a trooper! On a happy note he smiles constantly. It is the sweetest thing ever. He also is starting to like the dogs. He smiles at them too!! :) if you even kind of know me, you know how much I love my dogs. So this makes me SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY! We went downtown and did some shopping and stopped by cousin Nikkis store Occasions and saw aunt Georgette! If you haven't been to the store you should stop by! It's super cute and has lots of yummy treats! We also got to seen Olivia for a little while. She loves Jett!! Then yesterday my little brother went to his first prom! Oh how he is growing up.. :) we didn't make it in time to actually see him.. Jett got hungry, but we did get a picture!! Anyways, enough with me rambling. Here are the pictures!!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! It was so exciting since it was Jett's FIRST real Holiday. I loved shopping for his Easter Basket and picking out an outfit for him to wear.. :) We woke up and went to the Methodist Church with my mom and then went over to her house to visit for a little bit. After that we went out to Mama's and had a big Easter lunch with Matt's whole family. After that we went to Dianas to do the scavenger hunt. This is SO neat- She has been doing this for Matt and Bailey for years. She is so creative and makes a hunt for each of them. The last 2 years Matthews has also been mine :) haha I LOVE it... Next year I'm sure ours will turn into Jett's which I am perfectly fine with. I hope that I am creative enough to do this for him at our house also... From there we came home to watch the Masters and see Bubba Watson win!! Then we went to my dad's house and had Easter dinner with dad, Allison, Olivia, Teresa and Chris. I forgot to mention that out at Mama's Jett got to meet Aaron for the first time! This was so exciting since we didn't think we were going to get to see Aaron until next month!! Now onto the pictures.

Last Couple of Days

Well we had a busy but good weekend! I'm going to include today (Monday) in this post... Just so ya know! On Saturday we really just hung out.. Matt didn't feel to good so we left him at home in bed resting and went out and did a little shopping. Then Bailey called and she was out at Mama's with Jonathan, Lauren, Uncle Stephan and Mama so we drove out there. I didn't realize it until we got there but it was Jett's fist visit out there!! :) Then Saturday night we got with my dad and sister, Eric, Olivia, and Chris to take family pictures! Teresa came too!! It was such a beautiful evening for this- Jetton did really good for about 30 minutes... then he got hungry and then sleepy soo that was short lived. I think we probably got some really good pictures though! Sunday, (Easter) will be in its own post next-- That brings us to today.. Jett had his 2 month check up.. and the dreaded SHOTS! :O I think they are harder on me than they are on him.. Dr. Lucas said he is doing GREAT! He weighs 12.05 lbs and is 23 inches long!! He has grown so much. He is 38% in weight, 41% in his length and his head is 78%.. Haha He did really good and didn't get to upset during the exam.. But he got hungry and they came in to do the shots and the oral one he did wonderfully for because he was hungry and just ate it right up. Then they stuck him in both of his legs at the same time.. His little face went white and then he just balled.. It Broke. My. Heart. I nursed him right after this to calm him down and he crashed. He slept for 5 hours.. woke up to eat and has been sleeping ever since. He will whimper out in his sleep every time he moves his legs. I think they are just sore.. But it is still so sad...

TWO Months Old!

ok.. I know I say this every time but OH MY GOSH.. JETT IS TWO MONTHS OLD! That blows my mind.. seriously. He is the most perfect baby I could ever ask for. I thank God daily for blessing me and Matt with him. How did I deserve to be this awesome little mans mommy.. It is so cool to think about that. But enough with that.. on to the fun stuff. Today daddy (Matt) was the first person whose name was drawn for Stuck on a Truck. I about died. Matthew had come home on Tuesday with a million little forms to fill out and put in the drawing.. We had started to fill them out but I really thought Matt was just kidding about this. He said he put about 5 or 10 in at the hair dressers and then he was going to fill out the rest and put them in so he could have a good chance of getting drawn. He never got around to it.. If any of you know him you shouldn't be surprised by that- But his name got drawn anyways.. we didn't even hear it or know we were suppose to be listening for it.. My dad actually was the first person to call and tell him he had 9 minutes to call in and say he wanted to do it! :0 So that is what we will be dong the first weekend of May!! :) Ya'll should all come out and help cheer him on!! (More on this later) We woke up and were being soo lazy and our doorbell rang and it was Aunt Sam!! What a Happy surprise for Jett's 2 month birthday!! We had a good little visit with her she was in town for a catering job! The rest of the day me and little man just hung out and did laundry and things around the house.. All in all it was a GREAT day.. I still can't believe he is 2 months old.. time flies! 

2 Month Stats

-Jetton is wearing size 1 diapers

-He is in 0-3 month size clothes...They are SO cute I might add

-He loves being outside.. It never fails to make him happy (day or night)

-Riding in the car is one of his favorite things also

-The bouncy seat is no longer a favorite... Sad day for mom

-He still really likes his swing (YAY!)

-Paci's work most of the time, but his fingers and hands are still his go to thing

-He really likes to take baths and showers! He relaxes so well

-he HATES, I repeat HATES getting lotion put on him!

-Being naked is awesome.. haha He cracks me up! My mom says I was just like that when I was little!

-He is obsessed with fans.. Moving or not moving. He will stare

-He sleeps best in his Nap Nanny

-He has started this new thing where he will not go to bed until midnight.. Ohhh goodness :0

-If you hold him under his arms and bounce him he is in Heaven

-He is a little piggy! He eats so much! His Dr. appt. isn't until the 9th so I will update weight and length then!!!

-His eyes seem to just keep getting lighter... :)

-His hair when clean sort of has a red tint.. Just like mine did!

-The stroller is a go to thing when we go anywhere because he really likes it!

-He does not like to lay in the floor (or anywhere for that matter) by himself. He much rather would be held!

-He SMILES all the time now!

-He makes this little puppy dog sound when he sleeps, I think he is laughing because he smiles and his whole body shakes! It's super cute

-He GRUNTS like crazy

-He has started cooing and ahhing "talking"... It will melt your heart!

-Music will calm him down! All types he really seems to love it!

Our Weekend-

We had a very busy but fun weekend! Friday afternoon Jett stayed with Daisy and Poppa.. I don't have any pictures of this but I know he had a great time! :) Then Saturday we hung out and shopped with cousin Olivia and Aunt Al. We LOVE doing this.. Haha. It's more for me but one day Jett will really appreciate it. Saturday night we went and had byom at Clayton's dads house. BYOM stands for Bring Your Own Meat. A group of our friends started dong this back in January and we have done it at least one night a weekend ever since. We all bring our own meat, and a side. We grill and cook and just hang out, its a really fun, inexpensive way to hang out. That brings us to today.. SUNDAY! :) April 1st- Matthew and I had planned on taking Jett to the mall in Little Rock to get his first Easter Bunny pictures made.. We asked Olivia and Allison to come along too. It is SO cool that this is the 1st Easter for both of them!! :) It's crazy how a baby will change you. I was the WORST at taking pictures and documenting things... but now it seems like all I do is take pictures.. so here they are!!

Jett's favorite place and outfit.. NOTHING. This child loves to be naked and LOVES to look at fans, even if they aren't moving. Here he had both-

Olivia Napping. This was the day that I, yes I took care of TWO babies.. It was a challenge but I survived. :) I think I could do it again.. maybe.. haha

Oh the little surprises I love finding after Olivia has been over. I LOVE it...

L.O.V.E. This will just melt anyones heart.. They did SO well, I was pleasantly surprised.
