Daffodil Festival 2013

Every year for about 2 weeks a Methodist Church up in Wye Arkansas has a festival where all the daffodils they planted bloom. It is gorgeous, so of course we used this time for a photo shoot! Allison, Eric and Olivia went up and Matthew, Jett and I joined them. Of course we were late and Olivia was pretty  much done with the pictures but we got a few REALLY cute ones. There is not a whole lot to say about it really. lol its a mountain covered in flowers. Grandad and Tutu surprised us and came for a little while too! It was a fun morning and it helped that the weather was AMAZING! It definitly made me really ready for some spring weather! Jett loved it, of course it was outside.. and He really liked the flowers. :)

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! It was so exciting since it was Jett's FIRST real Holiday. I loved shopping for his Easter Basket and picking out an outfit for him to wear.. :) We woke up and went to the Methodist Church with my mom and then went over to her house to visit for a little bit. After that we went out to Mama's and had a big Easter lunch with Matt's whole family. After that we went to Dianas to do the scavenger hunt. This is SO neat- She has been doing this for Matt and Bailey for years. She is so creative and makes a hunt for each of them. The last 2 years Matthews has also been mine :) haha I LOVE it... Next year I'm sure ours will turn into Jett's which I am perfectly fine with. I hope that I am creative enough to do this for him at our house also... From there we came home to watch the Masters and see Bubba Watson win!! Then we went to my dad's house and had Easter dinner with dad, Allison, Olivia, Teresa and Chris. I forgot to mention that out at Mama's Jett got to meet Aaron for the first time! This was so exciting since we didn't think we were going to get to see Aaron until next month!! Now onto the pictures.

The pictures kind of funny coloring but this is his Easter outfit! He pooped all over it just in time for pictures so it got washed really quickly!! :)

His very first Easter basket from Mom and Dad... :) This makes me SO happy

Aaron and Aunt Bailey!! We were SO excited to see BOTH of them!! :)

Aaron meeting Jett and holding him for the first time. :)

This was right after church! He was SO good and didn't cry or make a lot of noise during church. He just sat there and talked to himself and when we left he fell asleep haha

His Basket with all of Gigi's goodies also!

This is Sassy! She is so sweet-- She is Aunt George's and Uncle Jim's "new baby"

Easter family picture! I am so glad that we took this.. It's the first family picture since his newborn photo shoot!!

And his little PJ's that he slept in and spent the day after we took off our church clothes. I really enjoy dressing him up for holidays and special occasions.. :) Oh how he will so appreciate these pictures one day.. haha

Beautiful Weather!

Not a whole lot has been going on. However the last few days have been amazing! It is making me SO ready for summer. On Sunday, we decided to take Jetton to the bike trail for his first walk. He loved it. He stretched out in his stroller and just slept! haha- Every once in a while he would take a really deep breath in. I like to think he was enjoying the great weather and just being outside! :) I was holding him the other day after he got done nursing and he just had a onesie on and it hit me, he has grown so much! It is kind of sad how fast babies grow.. But at the same time it is absolutely amazing! I don't really have a lot to talk about, but I do have new pictures!! :):)

Charlie helping me blog :) Yeah, It's not Jett but I thought it was cute!

Little Man LOVES his baths! He relaxes so well and just lets you do whatever!!

Jett's First Limo ride! This was on 3/24/12.. You can tell he is super excited about this.

Walking! :) It was great to get out of the house and enjoy this weather!

Yeah.. I made him pose to with Jett to document his "first walk".. Call me silly one day he will be glad I made him do this lol

Our Handsome boy, sitting and just enjoying the day!

After a long day of sleeping, eating, and playing it was time for bed!! :) Sweet Smiles.

Spring Break 2011

Better late than never right?!

Over spring break, in March, Matthew and I went to San Diego with his mom, step-dad, sister and her friend! It was a lot of fun! We did SO many things. The only downer was that it was pretty chilly and RAINED like crazy. All the locals told us they NEVER get rain like that and it would probably be all the rain they got for the YEAR?! Either way, we didn't let it slow us down. We went and toured a Navy air craft carrier. I didn't know this but there is a HUGE Navy base in San Diego. It was really fun and we got to do this stimulator, where you feel like your in a cockpit of a fighter jet and flip and move all over the place. I swear me and Matthew got STUCK upside down. We shopped a lot! That's always fun- haha We also went to the Zoo. It was the BEST zoo I have ever been to! They have all kinds of animals the typical zoo doesn't have, like koalas and penguins and panda bears! My aunt who lives in Los Angeles and her fiance road the train down and spent the night so we could have dinner and catch up. It was awesome to get to spend time with them! (to bad I didn't take any pictures with her!) During the last full day we rented a car and drove up to Mission Beach and Hermosa to see the "famous" Sea Lions. It was so neat to see them in the wild just going about their business. HA!

Here we are on the Navy Aircraft Carrier! It was actually really interesting and fun! Those poor sailors sleep in the TINIEST little spaces- and that is their ONLY personal space for the months and months they are on the ship. I honestly don't think I could make it!

The view from our room- It was beautiful! We had such a nice room also. It was at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gas Lamp district. It was walking distance to pretty much everything! It was so modern and clean. I LOVED it.

We were walking down the pier on the second day and I just HAD to take a picture of this boat in the bay because it was named after our "baby" Millie Grissom haha! It was to cute!

This is the Giraffe that gave birth. It was so neat! We stopped by this exhibit as the last one, it was hot and we were SO tired, but I am so glad we stopped. We stood there and watched this momma give birth to her baby! SO COOL. This was a few minutes after and the baby had started to move around a little bit.

The pandas! So neat and cuddly looking-They have 4 total that they would rotate in the 2 outdoor spaces. You have to wait in line and go in a single file line to look at them. The pandas are so sensitive and the whole reason they are in the zoo is for breeding purposes so they don't become extinct. The zoo makes it top priority to keep them happy!

This polar bear was so much fun. He kept "posing" for pictures and make the cutest faces. I could have stood there and watched him the whole day. He was such an entertainer!

This is on our way to Hermosa, I think this is at Mission Beach, but I'm not 100% sure. Either way it was SO pretty!

Here are just some of the TONS of sea lions that just lay around and sleep on the rocks in Hermosa. It was really a neat sight- The rocks were completely covered. There were 100's of them. All over the place. They would dive off the rocks and swim around for a while, or go off to the deep ocean. Really cool to see them in their natural environment.

That pretty much sums up our trip! It was SO much fun and I can't wait to blog about the next adventure we go on. They are also so interesting and you never really know what to expect- I LOVE traveling with Matthew, he's a great travel buddy. :)
