Daffodil Festival 2013

Every year for about 2 weeks a Methodist Church up in Wye Arkansas has a festival where all the daffodils they planted bloom. It is gorgeous, so of course we used this time for a photo shoot! Allison, Eric and Olivia went up and Matthew, Jett and I joined them. Of course we were late and Olivia was pretty  much done with the pictures but we got a few REALLY cute ones. There is not a whole lot to say about it really. lol its a mountain covered in flowers. Grandad and Tutu surprised us and came for a little while too! It was a fun morning and it helped that the weather was AMAZING! It definitly made me really ready for some spring weather! Jett loved it, of course it was outside.. and He really liked the flowers. :)

Hot springs

This week was busy but SO fun!! My sisters in-laws have a time share in hot springs and weren't able to use it... So my sister invited me and little man to hang out with her and Olivia for a few days! We toured the bath house, shopped down town, went to Garvan Gardens and just hung out around the pool! It was a lot of fun!! Yesterday Jetton started pulling at his ears and I'm afraid he might have an ear infection... :( so we go to the dr. First thing in the morning but until then we are just snuggling and being lazy... :)

Quick day trip!

So yesterday Matthew, Jett and I Made a quick trip to Jonesboro. This was a REALLY special trip. One because this is where I was born and lived until the 7th grade and two because Jetton got to meet his great great grandmother, Mamoo. She is 93 years old and got moved into hospice this week. She has lived an amazing life. She has 3 children who are all married, she has 8 living grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. That is amazing. You can say she has lived a very full, wonderful life. I was lucky enough that when I was growing up she got to spend a lot of time with us. She lived with my nana and granddad for a long time who happened to live across the street from me! :) Even though she is sick and Jett is so young I know this was a special day. I got a couple pictures, just so I can show Jett when he's older. This day was so amazing.

Jett and Mamoo's Hands.. this will forever be a special picture.

Jett and Dudley! This is Molly's dad- I grew up right down the street from them :)

Jett with his Great Granddad, Nana and Granddad!

Spring Break

Well it is "kinda" our spring break. Since I am no longer in school and Matthew works we can just pretend we have a spring break haha! Well my dad, brother sister and Olivia all went to the lake house along with both of my aunts all my cousins and my grandmother! It was the first time in forever we have all had the same spring break and could actually get together. It also happened to be Teresa's birthday, so we got to celebrate that while all up there!! My dad cooked a great dinner and my sister made an AMAZING dessert. It was SO much fun to get to have a chill day at the lake house with all of the family!! :) I am so sad though, I didn't get a picture of Jett with the birthday girl.. I'll have to get one very SOON!!

Aunt Lisa and Faithe! I cheated this picture was actually taken a couple weeks ago at my dads house, but they both were at the lake too!! :)

Nap time with daddy! This is SUCH a cute picture.. it melts my heart!

Getting lots of love and snuggles in from Aunt Karen! This was her first time meeting Jetton.. He LOVED her!

What's Been Going On!

Wow! Sorry it has been SO LONG! :O We have been so busy doing all kinds of different things. Ha.. I forgot to update the last post but at his 1 month check up he weighed 9 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 and 2/3 inches long!!! I was SHOCKED! He is getting huge. He gained 3 lbs and grew over an inch and a half since we left the hospital! That is so crazy to me. He really needs to slow. down. So some things that have happened since the last post- Jett is 6 weeks old! Yikes-- He just outgrew newborn diapers and is in a size one.. I did not think this would make me sad. But the first size one diaper I put on him I almost cried!.. haha Jetton went to his first crawfish boil... Really mom and dad went and just towed him along for the ride :) I think he had fun though. He has smiled a few "social smiles" as the dr. put it. When he is awake and purposefully smiling not just smiling in his dreams. I don't think he has mastered this yet though, because we don't get them often. We went on our first mini road trip. It was completely unexpected.. but ended up just fine. We took him to Little Rock to shop and visit Molly. Well There was a really bad wreck on the interstate that had it backed up for hours.. So instead of sitting on it, we went the back way. We drove through Roland, then Bigelow and finally Conway! It ended up taking a little over an hour to get home. Jett slept the entire time. He has gotten to meet some very special people, his Aunt Lisa, cousins Faithe, Hope and Eden Grace. He also got to meet Molly, one of his many adopted aunts.. Martha and Jerry Thomas, they lived by me and watched me grow up! Oh! Jett can wear most of his 0-3 month clothes and can't wear most of his newborn outfits anymore!! Ok.. Enough for me talking I'll post some pictures now. :):)

I just LOVED this outfit.. He looks like a little man to me.

His swim "outfit" haha He is ready for the beach this summer!

Hanging out with Aunt Allison, Uncle Eric and Olivia. I don't think he even knew what was going on.. He just sleeps through most things.

Oh my Gosh! I find this hysterical.. It is his passport picture. To me it looks like he is thinking "Seriously mom? Why are we doing this??" I had to hold him up and to the side so the man could take his picture- It was interesting to say the least.

Just napping on a rainy Sunday afternoon... :)

Meeting Molly!! He just loved her. He spit up all over her.. twice.. Ha.

A Trip to the Farm

Road Trip to the Farm

My moms side of the family lives in Fisk, MO. Growing up my mom use to take us kids (my sister, brother, and me) to see her grandparents all the time. We loved it up there. We also have some great aunts, uncles, and cousins that still live and work the farm. We don't make it up there nearly enough,I hadn't seen a lot of them for over 5 years! But my aunt from L.A. went to surprise my papaw for fathers day. So Christopher, Allison and I decided we should road trip it up there to introduce Olivia to all of the family! It was a blast. :)

This is what we encountered at least 5 times while driving. Ha.. You know your in the country when...

This is my brother Christopher in the yellow, my cousin Michael in the hat, and Braden on the left. They have grown up so much since I saw them last!

This is the whole group minus my mom because she couldn't make it up there. :( It was SO wonderful to see them all.

My Aunt Angie, Allison, Me and Papaw holding Olivia!

Some of us sitting around eating-

Olivia just chilling with me :) I love her so much!

Aunt Angie and I (the aunt from L.A.)

Papaw and Chris

Memaw and Myself just sitting outside enjoying the great weather!

I didn't mention that my FAVORITE thing about going up to the farm as a kid was that we always had the best fruit and veggies. They are all so fresh and GREAT! Well, it didn't let me down this time, we had homemade pickled okra (one of my favorites) and then on top of that, they sent home 7 A-M-A-Z-I-N-G tomatoes! I was in heaven. Even though it was a quick trip- it was worth it! I loved seeing everyone and HAVE to make it up there more often to see them. :)
